1. Can I come if I am a complete beginner?

Yes! All abilities are permitted and welcomed. The sessions are independent and the work is your own to keep afterwards. You are not obliged to share your work with others or meet any artistic standard. 

2. Do I have to be from Magdalene?

No — the sessions are open to students from all colleges.

3. What are the levels of nudity?

The models will be completely nude in line with the traditional practice of drawing the human form. No disrespect or mockery towards the models will be tolerated. The models are professional workers registered with artist agencies. 

4. What do I need to bring?

Basic equipment is provided for regular graphite sketches. We encourage bringing your own materials (paint; charcoal; pastels; etc) for greater experimentation and variety across representations of the subject.

5. Do I need a membership?

No. All of our sessions are walk-ins. We encourage coming slightly early as seats will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Admission is £3 per session.
